The title of this book is a quote by Benjamin Zander, conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. But the recital is also a beacon of Danish photographer Nikolaj Lund himself, originally with an education with a Master’s degree in cello performance, but since 2008 he has worked internationally with another great passion of his: Photography. Still working in the environment he knows so well – the classical music scene – and out of that mixture comes images where seriousness and commitment is maintained, but where the creativity, originality, the happyness, passion and humor has replaced the solemn. He affixes the musicians in the woods, the beach, in architectual surroundings – he makes them jump and dance and throw their instruments. Out on the balcony, into some cement pipes, up in the mountains, the accordion on the musicians stomach, the drummer behind a tree, leaving only his arms with cymbals sticking out. And more. Lots of water.
